Weekday Volunteering - June

Conservation Volunteers

CVlogo180.jpg

We are a national, not-for-profit, community based organisation offering a wide range of conservation projects right across urban, regional and remote Australian locations including tree planting, seed collection, endangered species protection, weed control, mulching, flora and fauna surveys, walking track construction/maintenance, fencing and environmental monitoring.  Volunteers participate as part of a team on practical conservation projects and are given induction and training on all conservation tasks undertaken, along with safety training and supervision.

We have both residential and local projects for you to get involved in.  Our local projects are completely FREE and are located in and around the Perth area meaning that they are easy for you to get to!

We have two projects running every weekday and with planting season starting with some groups, keep an eye out for our Saturday and Sunday projects through June and July. Join us for one or two days or the whole week.

Browse through our Project descriptions below to find out about all of the different and exciting hands on conservation activities that we are completing in loads of picturesque locations in WA this May and June.

South East Regional Centre for Urban Landcare  | Tuesday 5th – Friday 8th June | Monday 25th – Friday 29th June                                                                                                                   Get your hands dirty with the team leaders of Conservation Volunteers as we help out different volunteer groups at sites along the Canning River.  Activities could include planting and preparing sites for winter.

Swanbourne Dunes | Tuesday 5th – Friday 8th June | Monday 11th – Friday 15th June | Monday 18th – Friday 22nd June                                                                                                      Have fun in the Swanbourne Dunes. Our friendly team leaders and crew are helping the City of Nedlands with site maintenance on the beach. Activities may include maintaining last years’ plants, planting and marine debris surveys.

Remember… To wear long trousers, a long sleeved top, sturdy shoes and a wide brimmed hat and bring along your water bottle and packed lunch.  We offer free transport to all of our sites which leaves Fremantle at 8am every day, or you can meet us on site. Give us a call for the exact locations.
