Australia’s leading resource for environmental employment, education and events
The Simms Cove Coast Care Group need your help to revegetate and restore areas of degarded coastline in Moonta Bay on the Yorke Peninsula, a popular holiday destination.
Activities include planting native trees and shrubs to stabilize dune environments and reduce run off, protecting and enhancing the biodiversity of cliff areas. Removing invasive weeds and spreading mulch will help native plants to grow and become self sustainable. Over time, the plants will provide habitat for native birds, reptiles and mammals.
10 years of hard work and passion from this local group has seen many native animals return to the area. You too can make a difference here.
Seaside accommodation awaits you. Why not enjoy a walk on the beach after a day’s volunteering, and watch the sun go down.
Dates: 13 to 17 June and 18 to 22 June
If you live locally, you’re welcome to join us for a couple of hours or stay for the day for free. Or why not join our team leaving from Adelaide? The cost to join these 5 day/4 night eco trips is $120 for Australian concession holders ($208 non concession) including food, accommodation and return transport from Adelaide.
