Mechanical Support Officer

 

Warddeken Land Management Ltd seeks an adventurous and highly motivated mechanic to join our team in supporting the delivery of world class land management outcomes across the Warddeken Indigenous Protected Area.

The successful applicant should have a strong desire to live and work in a remote situation assisting Indigenous rangers to manage the extraordinary natural and cultural values of the West Arnhem Land Plateau.

Our ideal candidate will be adventurous, highly practical, independently motivated and be passionate about working with Indigenous people and caring for country.

Naturally, qualifications or relevant experience in the repair and maintenance of a wide range of plant and equipment are essential. Equally important however is a willingness to undertake a very broad range of additional land management works out in the bush, side by side with Indigenous rangers.

This position will involve a significant amount of travel within the Warddeken IPA and require the successful applicant to spend much time camping and working independently away from base.
