Waste Minimisation Officer

  • $61,950 per annum, plus superannuation

An exciting opportunity exists for a talented and organised waste education practitioner to develop and implement Council’s waste and litter education programs and initiatives across Council and the Frankston City community.

You will assist in the development of Council’s waste and litter strategies and plans, implement waste and litter education programs, and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders to improve resource recovery and minimise waste to landfill.

You will have a relevant degree or experience in the area of Waste Education, Environmental Science or other appropriate disciplines along with sound knowledge of the waste and resource recovery industry. Demonstrated experience in project managing and implementing waste and litter education initiatives is essential. Your strong communication and customer service skills will be looked upon favourably.

You will need to provide evidence of your right to work in Australia, certified copies of your qualifications, and a current Driver Licence. You must also be willing to provide a Pre-Employment Health Declaration and undertake a National Police Record Check.
