Parks Forum is the peak industry association for park management agencies throughout Australia and New Zealand. Incorporated in 2004, our organisation represents agencies which have responsibility for management and stewardship of the range of parks across the spectrum from smaller urban parklands and forests through to larger wilderness areas. Our fundamental purpose is to enhance and increase the vital range of environmental, social and economic benefits that parks provide to the community. We seek to achieve this by engaging with and representing our members in policy and community areas, providing unity and leadership, supporting high management standards, sharing information, knowledge and expertise, and enhancing community understanding and enjoyment of parks. At the same time as serving the parks industry in Australia and New Zealand, the Forum also focuses on building an international parks industry network.
