The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Environmental Advisor - Approvals to join our team at Cowal.  As a key member of the Sustainability team your will be responsible for implementing and monitoring environmental processes to ensure compliance with environmental obligations.  Act as the primary contact for environmental matters associated with daily operational activities and provide support to the ESR Superintendent with regulatory approvals and permitting processes. 

The Person

You will hold relevant degree qualifications in Environmental or scientific related discipline.  The successful applicant will have experience in a similar environmental role with recognised expertise in mining approvals and permitting along with experience managing a small team.  Knowledge of relevant environmental legislation and approvals requirements and strategies is also essential.

The Site

Cowal Gold Operations (CGO) is the largest asset in Evolution Mining’s current portfolio and is currently undergoing an exciting period of growth including the expansion of open pit operations, the addition of an underground exploration decline and upgrading of the processing assets to support this growth.  The current life of mine is 2032, however, it is anticipated this will be further extended by accessing additional resources via future underground and open pit operations.

CGO is located approximately 40kms north of the township of West Wyalong and 450km west of Sydney.  It is centrally located amongst a number of large regional towns and facilities
