WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for someone to join our team with exceptional engagement and strategy skills with a background in land use planning, regional development, agriculture and/or waste management and resource recovery. We would also value experience in economics or business management. We are happy to consider applications for full-time or part-time positions.

This position will be based in Tasmania, however interstate travel may be required from time to time and there will be opportunities to work on the interstate and national projects.

You will:

  • Be part of a diverse team of approximately 60 people, 12 of which are based in Tasmania

  • Collaborate with staff, subcontractors, and clients to take a logical evidence-based approach to complex issues

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION

You will work in small teams with other RMCG consultants to work on a broad range of issues relevant to your field of expertise.

The work that you will undertake will include:

  • Contributing your expertise to projects 
  • Writing clear, plain English reports that capture findings, insights and recommendations from projects
  • Project management
  • Day-to-day client liaison, and presenting findings to clients
  • Business development, including networking, marketing and proposal-writing
  • Contributing positively to our culture.
  • Please note that the position will involve some interstate travel

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, environmental science, resource management, or related discipline – relevant to RMCGs work areas.
  • A minimum of five years’ experience, preferably in a consulting capacity.
  • A current driver’s licence.

    • You are quick to understand data but like to tackle challenges where data is lacking.

SALARY AND CONDITIONS

$100,000 - $150,000 salary range, dependent on experience. (Inclusive of superannuation)
