About the role:

Our continual growth has presented us with an exciting opportunity for a Contract Supervisor to join our team based in Townsville. As Supervisor, you will assist the Operations Manager and other Supervisors in the delivery of all Centrogen North QLD and Central QLD-based contracts. This role will require excellent time management skills to be able to balance the different competing requirements. This role is based at the Centrogen Townsville depot; however, it will require extensive travel to Rockhampton between April and October.

The key responsibilities of this position will be:  

• Assist the Operations Manager in all areas of contracts, from initial pricing through to crew/job setup and delivery. 
• Undertaking safety audits for Centrogen crews and addressing any non-conformances
• Managing client enquiries and complaints, and maintaining accurate registers and  records 
• Scheduling and allocating work to maximise efficiency, quality, and compliance
• Providing day-to-day supervision and leadership to crews 
• Working on the tools alongside crews as required 
• Ensuring safety standards, company policies, and safe work practices are understood and adhered to 
• Driving a safe, productive, and positive work culture 
• Providing on-the-job training, coaching, and support to crew members 
• Conducting toolbox talks, pre-start meetings, and safety briefings 
• Monitoring work quality and ensuring work is delivered to specification and on time
• Preparing basic reports on progress, issues, and incidents for management
• Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders as required

About you:

• Experienced in supervising teams and driving results
• Experience using the Microsoft suite
• Determined in your approach and have a proven commitment to safety
• White Card, ACDC, Defence pass (advantageous)
• Open manual driver's licence (required) 
• Experience in hazard reduction burning 
• Experience in the vegetation management industry  
• Able to pass any pre-employment physical, drug, and alcohol testing 
• Willing to undertake all roles in the vegetation crew, including hazard reduction burns, mowing, brush cutting, herbicide application, and tractor slashing.
