At Corangamite Shire Council we are looking for a collaborative leader who is passionate about environmental sustainability, with the ability to lead innovation, manage services and ensure regulatory compliance.

What you will do:
Responsible for coordinating Council's environmental and sustainability initiatives, this role has a focus on opportunities to enhance and diversify our landfill and waste services. To be successful in this role, you will have the ability to oversee circular economy projects and waste management contracts, while ensuring regulatory compliance across our landfill and waste operations.

What you can bring:

  • Tertiary qualification in environmental science or engineering, or a similar relevant qualification and/or
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas including environmental sustainability, circular economy, landfill and waste management or landfill design and engineering
  • Demonstrated experience or willingness to develop skills in leadership and establishing work programs
  • Demonstrated commitment to our core values of teamwork, integrity, and respect
  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence
  • National police check and working with childrens check, or ability to obtain
  • Construction induction card or ability to obtain
