About the Role

Reporting to the Director, you will primarily be responsible for undertaking ecological surveys, preparation of ecological reports and plans of management. You will also be expected to undertake broader environment impact assessments including REF’s and SEE’s.

The role:

  • Undertaking ecological field investigations
  • Report preparation and impact assessments
  • Undertaking broader environmental investigations and impact assessments including REF’s and SEE’s

To be successful for this role you must have the following:

  • Degree qualified Ecologist or related field is essential
  • Minimum 5+ years experience conducting ecological field surveys (consultancy experience will be highly regarded)
  • Sound knowledge of relevant NSW and Commonwealth environmental legislation
  • Demonstrated botanical identification skills
  • Experience with Sydney Basin ecology and undertaking ecological survey in the vegetation communities of NSW
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work and carry out field work autonomously
  • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects concurrently
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • BAM Accreditation and/or bushfire planning accreditation will be highly regarded
  • Current vehicle and drivers licence
