About the Position
Reporting to the Environmental Manager, this position will promote environmental sustainability and manage a variety of environmental issues (air, water, waste and land) across our multiple locations. Working with a diverse stakeholder group you will be proactive in providing professional advice, technical support and guidance across planning, risk assessment, impact mitigation and compliance services.
This position will work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver environmental objectives at our sites through negotiating with statutory and regulatory authorities in respect to compliance and environmental approvals.
To be successful, you will have demonstrated experience in a similar position within heavy industry along with a tertiary qualification in environmental science or other related field. With a commitment to quality output you will have great attention to detail and have a high level understanding of environmental compliance, codes and standards.
You will have a high level of communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build excellent rapport with colleagues and stakeholders alike. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team to deliver consistent high quality results will see you flourish in this position.
