Environmental Scientist - Graduate - 2 Years Experience



Robson Environmental, established in 1990, is Canberra's leading asbestos and hazmat consultancy within a mutli disciplinary team covering environmental assessment & remediation, occupational hygiene, workplace safety, NATA accredited laboratories and a training facility. We have NATA accreditation for our hazmat surveying.

Robson Environmental is experiencing unprecedented growth and is looking for professionals for a graduate role or a professional with up to 2 years experience within our contaminated land section.

The Role

We are interested in hearing from recent degree-qualified individuals with an ongoing interest in this discipline.

The contaminated land Environmental Scientist role will involve undertaking, under guidance fieldwork and preparation of environmental reports for:

  • Waste Classification
  • Soil Beneficial Reuse
  • Soil Assessments (including asbestos in soil)
  • Surface and Ground Water Assessments
  • Soil/Groundwater Vapour Assessments
  • Tank Excavation Assessments
  • Air Monitoring (for Asbestos Fibres)
  • Remedial Action Plans
  • Site Validation/Suitability
  • Environmental Management & Unexpected Finds Protocols

It is envisaged that this opportunity will suit individuals with excellent interpersonal, time management and report writing skills who seek a long term career in this field.

Overtime/time in lieu paid at penalty rates.


The successful candidate will have tertiary or post graduate qualifications in Environmental Science/ Engineering or other relevant disciplines (Geology, Soil Science, Hydrology etc.). In addition, it is essential that candidates hold a current drivers licence and desirable for the candidate to hold an ACT / NSW Assessors certification. Applicants must reside in Australia and hold residency, 457 Visa applicants cannot be considered at this time.
