Job Description:

Cardno’s Geosciences team provides strategic and practical solutions to clients with environmental management challenges. Due to continued growth in our pipeline of work, we are currently seeking to appoint an Environmental Scientist or Engineer for our Perth office.  Reporting to the Principal, in this permanent full-time role, you will engage in multiple facets of environmental engineering/consulting investigation and reporting techniques, develop skills in relevant software programs and work with industry-leading professionals. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects that you will see till completion.

Specifically, your duties will include –

  • Scoping and design of contaminated land and groundwater investigations
  • Conducting field testing and sampling for environmental investigations including soil, vapour, surface water, wastewater and groundwater assessments
  • Preparing proposals, reports and management plans

About you

To be successful in this intermediate-level role, ideally, you will display:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science/Engineering or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience within the field of contaminated land assessment and/or environmental assessment and approvals within a consultancy
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of relevant software e.g ESDAT, GIS Applications
  • Valid/current manual driver’s license

This position includes both office and fieldwork and applicants must be physically able to stand and work in the field.
