Executive Level 1 - Strategic Asset Management Advisor

  • Our ideal candidate would lead the ongoing management, preparation and review of the Parks Australia Strategic Asset Management Framework and associated policies and plans. Provide leadership and advice to the network of park based asset managers staff to build skills, capacity and capability and work as an effective member that leads change in the workplace.
  • Provide high level strategic asset management advice to support park management operations and the development of corporate asset systems.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve shared goals and build strong relationships with park managers, asset managers and key stakeholders across the organisation. This will include liaison with staff within Parks Australia, the Department, and Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people as well as with external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and develop staff to build skills, capacity and capability; work as an effective member in a senior management team, lead change in the workplace, set priorities and standards to achieve outcomes and deadlines.
  • Demonstrates a high level of experience in providing asset management advice relevant to a Government context and with parks operating in remote areas of Australia.
  • Demonstrates the ability to provide asset management advice relevant to parks operating in remote areas of Australia.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development of asset management policies, procedures and project management skills.
  • An understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people and an ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.

Eligibility

Applicants must be Australian citizens and the successful candidates may be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security clearance.
