About the Opportunity:

Due to our continued success across Southern NSW and the ACT, we are searching for Experienced to Senior Ecologists to complement our talented team.

You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects and deliver environmental and ecological solutions for our clients. We encourage employees to rethink traditional methods of project delivery and develop innovative solutions.

The scientific side of the role will involve undertaking ecological surveys and assessments, proposal and report writing, and project management. As part of our team, you will also work with your colleagues to hone your skills in client liaison, office strategy, business development, and mentoring.

On a national level within the company, you will play your own unique part in helping us fulfil our company’s vision of “Leading with science, to inform critical environmental decisions, and deliver positive solutions”.

About you:

If you have read this far, we are already at the stage where we want to meet you!

We could provide a long list of attributes necessary for the role, but we don’t want criteria getting in the way of an outstanding application. We already know you have around 4 or more years of experience and are looking for the right company where you can grow your passion for ecology, further develop your field skills, and showcase your talent as a project manager. If you are someone who can laugh hard and work hard within a team of highly motivated and high performing people, you’ll fit right in.

We will offer you:

We will discuss remuneration with you in person. In the meantime, you will be comforted to know we are Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) compliant, reviewing equality of pay across each role. We promote flexible working for all positions, whether is a full-time position (38 hour week) or a part-time position (pick a number).

You can view our extensive company benefits at https://www.ecoaus.com.au/careers and be encouraged to know that we have a progressive, non-gendered, 12 weeks paid parental leave policy. Oh, and let’s not forget the birthday leave benefit (that’s right, you get an extra day off on your birthday!).

Next steps:

If you are an Australian citizen or resident, are seeking a friendly and professional organisation where workplace culture is highly valued, and where you can grow and further develop, get in touch!

Please forward your application, including a cover letter telling us a bit about who you are, why you’d be awesome in the role, and how you derive purpose and meaning from your work, to Donna Barlow, HR Coordinator, via email [email protected].

Closing date: 8 February 2022

For further information about the position please contact Anne Gibson, Manager Southern NSW and ACT on 0410 137 301.

We can’t wait to meet you.
