Thamarrurr Development Corporation (TDC) located in Wadeye, NT, is seeking a Healthy Country CDP Activity Coordinator to join our dynamic team.
The aim of the Healthy Country CDP Activity Coordinator is to provide a link for our CDP Jobseekers participating in the Community Development Programme to gain hands-on experience, insight and training in our Healthy Country Ranger space. You’ll contribute to Healthy Country activities working alongside our Land and Sea Rangers in natural and cultural land & sea management.

Main duties include:
- Support, supervise and encourage Jobseekers to attend CDP activities
- Work closely with the CDP Case Workers to ensure placement into relevant activities
- Ensure participant records and other JobSeeker relevant information is uploaded into computer-based systems
- Identify existing skills and interests of jobseekers and help align these with potential employment in the Wadeye community
- Identify areas of skills that would be improved with accredited and non-accredited training and mentoring
- Ensure assigned Healthy Country tasks are undertaken in a safe, culturally appropriate and effective manner
To be successful you’ll have:

- The flexibility and adaptability to establish and maintain effective relationships/partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
- The ability to adjust your approach in response to the different situation you may be presented with
- A high level of communication and interpersonal skills, including in a culturally and linguistically diverse environment
- Genuine interest in training, mentoring teams and promoting team ship
- Proven ability in the use of computer applications
- Strong understanding of WHS policies and procedures and actively contribute to a safe and respectful workplace.

Essential Licences/ Clearances
- Hold minimum current Class C NT driver’s Licence
- Ability to obtain and maintain Northern Land Council Work Permit
- Ability to obtain National Police Clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Working with Children Clearance (Ochre card)
