Lead a multi-disciplinary team that works with partners across Victoria to deliver a risk-based approach to bushfire management and support the development of a modernised approach to sustainable forest management.

The Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) is seeking to fill a key leadership role within the Forest, Fire and Regions Group (FFRG). The Manager Forest and Fire Risk Assessment Unit is an overarching, high profile leadership role - you bring together and lead a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a risk-based approach to Victorian bushfire management and achieve a modernised approach to sustainable forest management.

Underpinning all that you do is that you are a people person, with experience building a positive organisational culture. As a team leader, you will be able to demonstrate experience in effectively leading staff and developing their skills so they can achieve their day to day work and professional goals.

You are an agile thinker who seeks out and embraces technology that will assist your team to develop and build innovative applications and decision support tools to manage bushfire risks in Victoria. 

Whilst a knowledge of Victoria's bushfire and forest management policies is desirable, experience working and developing decision support tools is equally welcome.

This is an ongoing position.
