About the role
This is a genuine opportunity for the right person to make their mark. Reporting to the Executive Manager of Environment and Waste Services, your objective is to ensure a comprehensive and integrated approach is applied to the strategic and operational management of the City of Darwin Environment, Climate Change & Waste Services.
Operating within an agile structure coupled with a high-performance culture, you will provide high-level advice to the Executive Manager of Environment and Waste Services on environmental and waste management related issues, statutory obligations, powers, and limitations to ensure compliance across Local Government Act and Regulations, NT Environment Protection Authority and all other relevant guidance and legislation.
We are looking for a person who will challenge the status quo and innovate with a passion for making a difference. Your 5 years of experience working in a similar role level paired with your qualifications in Environmental Science or related discipline, will serve you well in this role. And if you have a working knowledge of relevant environmental legislation, regulation, and by-laws, that's even better!
