SGME is a specialist environmental consultancy delivering practical, science-based solutions across the mining, infrastructure, and land development sectors. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Scientist/Engineer to join our Brisbane team.
About the Role
Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to and lead a range of environmental and rehabilitation projects across Queensland and Australia.
Key responsibilities include:
- Environmental assessments and approvals
- Soil and land capability assessments
- Geochemistry investigations
- Mine rehabilitation and closure planning
- Environmental monitoring and field investigations
- Technical reporting and management plans
- Client liaison and project coordination
- Mentoring junior team members
About You
You will have:
- A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years' relevant industry experience
- Experience in environmental assessments, soil science, geochemistry, rehabilitation, mine closure, or environmental management
- Strong technical reporting and communication skills
- The ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities
- A current driver's licence and willingness to undertake fieldwork
- Full Australian working rights
