A unique and exciting opportunity exists to join our team in a role that combines strategic planning and field work across our 28,000km2 operational area.

The Darling Downs-Moreton Rabbit Board (DDMRB) plays a strategic role in reducing the spread of rabbits into and within Queensland by maintaining the rabbit fence and educating and assisting land managers to remove rabbits from their land. The fence and our organisation have been in existence for 130 years and remain as important as ever at suppressing rabbits and their impacts on Queensland's agricultural productivity and natural environment. The 2021 State of the Environment Report lists rabbits as Australia's most damaging invasive pest on threatened flora and fauna.

The position involves coordination and delivery of strategic compliance activities, in collaboration with our partner local governments and other stakeholders. The position is required to work across the DDMRB operational area, with the location for the successful applicant negotiable.

The successful applicant will be an excellent communicator that is energetic, motivated and capable of working autonomously and as part of a team. You will possess relevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience and skills.

The role includes diversity of tasks in a unique setting and DDMRB offers the opportunity of career progression.

The position is based at DDMRB's Warwick office.

Overnight camping in DDMRB supplied camps or accommodation is a requirement of the position.

DDMRB is committed to work health and safety and provides the necessary uniform, PPE, equipment and training. DDMRB has a mandatory Covid-19 vaccination policy.
